Plato’s CAVETM (Computer Augmented Virtual Environment) is a real-time, interactive, medical visualization technology that allows patient specific anatomical features to be both qualitatively and quantitatively identified in real time. The current standard for medical imaging utilizes shades of grey in only 2-Dimensions. Plato’s CAVETM reimagines this field by utilizing 5-Dimensions. By combining existing imaging data from CT (Computed Tomography), MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and PET (Positron Emission Test) scans, Plato’s CAVETM creates colored, 3-Dimensional volumetric images, adding in the 4th and 5th dimensions of motion and fluid dynamics.
